Thanks for doing this, Heidi. What a great way to introduce ourselves. I look forward to getting to know each of you better--to hear about your work and future ambitions.

My name is Bryant Jensen. I am a PhD student in Educational Psychology at Arizona State University. Currently I live in Mexico City, where I am working on my dissertation, a binational study of child literacy development. I was lucky enough to get funding from Fulbright for this work. It has been wonderful to have this time to focus solely on my work, an opportunity I realize is not afforded to many graduate students.

Hope to read more about each of you.

Nos vemos en NYC!

Maybe I have to introduce myself as well ;-) ... I have an M.Phil. in Comparative and International Education with a specialization in Education and Development from the University of Oslo. My master thesis was about Democracy and Language of Instruction in South Africa. Currently I'm employed at Oslo University College (yes, we are employed in Norway, not considered students - lucky us!) doing my PhD. Now I've turned my attention to Scandinavia, conducting research on Democracy in Multicultural School Environments in Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm. More information about me is available on my web page: http://home.hio.no/~heidbi/

Looking forward to seeing you in NY!

Looks awesome Heidi!! Can't wait to meet everyone at CIES:)

My name is Rhiannon and I am a Ph.D Student in CIDE at the University of Minnesota (hoping to graduate in the next five or six months!!) Keeping my fingers crossed and well... maybe not crossed as that would be quite a hindrance to the typing of my dissertation!
I must say after seeing the variety of topics represented by all of this years participants, the discussions before and during the workshop I can only imagine will be extremely interesting!!! Looking forward to March.
Best of luck everyone in the coming semester.
